norinco issue!

okay. take your old grip and see how far the spring should stick out. then trim or put something in there to make it the right size.

you were right. the old grip works just fine, and the new one is wobbly. i tried several different swappings, and putting stuff inside the new one, nope, nothing worked. So i went back to the original, lol. Thanks for the help and trouble shooting!I also put the original selector back in, as i discovered it was not that, but the grip like you said. I will just live with the norinco grip. ####ing norincos. hahahah

what gip did you have? i have tried lots of different girps some work good some are not even close. the worst i had might have been the tapco one? but it compressed the safety detent so tight you couldn't move the selector.

funny thing is, it was just a new name brand A2 grip that came with the new LPK i bought. that replaced the nork one, so it does not really matter. Maybe i will grab a magpul one. That was the issue though about the holes. the nork one had a huge oblong hole in it, and the new one had a small fine cut hole.

I've got a Magpul MIAD grip on my CQ-A without any issues.
