Is there any of these things avaliable still? Looking to pick one up, hopefully new from a dealer. I see Marstar is out of them, and I have found a few in 223 but I would like the 7.62X39. Thanks
 
Very ordinary rifle, ok accuracy i just dont shoot mine no more, an Axis is a better buy... My 0.02 cents. JP.
 
Several negative comments but Marstar manages to sell out all they bring in. If the JW103 is all THAT bad, why are people buying them in droves? You don't see many on the EE if thats any possible indication of disatisfaction.
 
I owned one and promptly sold it. I'm no gun snob, but it's a cheap gun for a reason - it's cheaply built, and each time I shot it I came away reminding myself, "but I only paid $300".

Accuracy was ok, but there was nothing about it that I admired. I could have lived with the cheap stock and its very poor inletting (and might have even bedded it), but the fragile trigger and rattly bolt were what put it in the EE.

I haven't heard a single person rave over it, the usual comment is "not bad for what you pay". Aside from an SKS, whose quality far exceeds the JW-103, I'd go with a Baikal single shot at $199 from Epps (which I have) as it's a far more rugged gun and mine is quite accurate.
 
Pick up a Remington 799 (my first choice) or a Ruger Ranch Rifle. I got my 799 at Milarm and they have a few left, they also have a few 103's if you REALLY want one. However, I can guarantee that once you have them side by side, you will choose the 799 if you have the extra $300 (I am about the cheapest guy you will meet and don't spend any more than I need to on a firearm. I can allow a good deal if it shoots well, and I bought the 799). If not, enjoy your 103 as best you can.

x2 on everything you wrote here. I sold mine at a real loss. If I needed a truck gun to keep under the seat just in case, I'ld of kept it. Love my Baikal, and put the money I got for the JW toward a Savage.
