Hi all, first post.

Just curious if anybody owns one, and your thoughts about it.

I did the basic initial clean when I first got the JW-14 (barrel, breach, etc). I had quite a few jams at first, and the whole gun felt stiff. After about 100 rounds it started to loosen up. Took it home and stripped, cleaned and oiled it. She's been firing good since. Definitely not as nice as 10/22 or a higher end 22, but for around $150, you can have a cheap plinker. I like the minature M1 Carbine look too.

I've got a cheap Tasco reddot sight on it. Haven't really taken the time to shoot some grouping yet.

Saw a guy at the range with one. It was cycling perfectly until he switched to Winchester experts, then it failed regularly. You might want to avoid that ammo...

I've had one for a few years and it runs like a charm, there is a known issue with the trigger mechanism where little burrs inside will eventually gum it up and you have to sort of nudge the trigger forward to get it to reset ... Nothing a liberal application of CLP and a few hundred cycles/time doesn't cure (breaking in, basically). The mag can be a ##### to load though, look forward to pretty cut up thumbs with those sharp edges. Can be really accurate if you find a batch of ammo she likes, remington thunderbolt work best in mine, the subsonic stuff is really good at 50, and the hyper-velocity stuff is very good overall. I had topped mine off with a cheap bushnell rimfire scope and if I did my part (and she likes that batch of ammo) It'll outshoot just about any semi out there, including souped up 10/22s.
