I was looking at the rifle rack at one of my local shop's and saw a bunch of ugly 15a's but a couple with decent stocks caught my attention. For another 10 bucks a guy can get a 15g (marked at $229 compared to 219 for the 15a - which is a bit overpriced anyways I think). But the 15g had a decent wood stock that was finished in some sort of oil/rub. I hadn't heard of the g model and even a web search comes up almost nothing.
I know it's far better to get a real cz but this one intrigues me cause it looks so much better finished than the a version. Same action but laser etching on barrel says jw-15g. The stock is a bit thinner as well. Also has some sort of fluorescent sights on it which appear pretty good - but I'd take them off because I'm just going to scope it anyways.
Any thoughts? Does it deserve a home in my safe at $229? Seen any around? Did marstar bring these in at one point?
