Was reading on here a while back about changing some of the parts for the takedown lever to make it smoother to work the tab do I need to replace the whole ring and lever and all springs or just the little lever and springs

If you have all the factory parts they can be worked over to actually work without drawing blood from your thumb each time, I did two of them before and went from impossible to lock unlock without a nylon punch and small hammer to actually functioning with my thumb as it should.

Just need some small needle files, some very find automotive type sand paper and optional but helps Dremel and polishing compound, bit of cold blue if you feel the need after if the ring itself needed work.

Thanks for the info but probably cheaper and quicker to order the new parts by the time I buy files and deemed and what not

I smoothed mine out nicely by putting a dab of tooth paste on it and just working the tab back and forth, cleaning it up and putting on a drop of oil.Tooth paste is just polishing compound anyway...works wonders on stiff parts
