norinco jw 2000 legal?

Don't worry about not knowing, we had a gun show here & 2 cops argued for 2 hrs & finally came back & apologize. The gun has a manufactured barrel & an overall length of over 26". You can not cut the barrel to less than 18" but if it is manufacture with shorter its OK. (makes sence I know) The main point is the over all length of a Factory gun.

ok that answers my second question because I would rather have an over under and was gonna find a cheap one and cut it down, but if that makes it restricted I am just gonna stay away from that idea and buy that jw2000

Cutting the barrel makes it prohibited not restricted. Dont try to understand the gun laws, it will make your head hurt!

Give your head a shake! And learn something. On Manual Operated guns you can Cut a barrel to 18" on Semi-Auto you can cut the Barrel to 18.5".

The point I was trying to make is: If you cut a barrel shorter than legal length it become prohib, not restricted. Taking a 12" DA Grizzly (for instance) and change the stock from a full butt stock to a pistol grip can change it the classification from restricted to non-restricted (assuming its properly verified and not done at home to avoid having an unregistered restricted weapon). I'm sure if I missed anything someone will correct me.:)
