Here's a sight option that may interest some owners of the 13" Norc. The rifle has a high bolt lift and short dove tail grooves, which brings the bolt handle too close to a scope eye piece for my taste. Plus, I wanted a very rugged sight that gave good accuracy but could stand up to rough handling. I finally settled on a Skinner Sight and here are some before and after pictures:

The sight is beautifully made and fits onto the grooves with only a light tap. Tightening the mounting screw holds it on securely. I also got the optional Merit attachment (shown) which gives you an adjustable aperture. It replaces the stock ring. I haven't decided yet which aperture I'll actually use, but the Merit piece works well. It fits over the same threads as the stock ring so swapping them just takes a minute.
I thought I might have to replace the front blade with a higher one, but it turns out the factory front sight is OK. The gun shoots 3" high at 25 yds, which is just about right for a 6 o'clock hold. The factory leaf sight is not visible when you're looking through the peep.
This is a good set up if you don't like the way scopes fit on the rifle and want something a lot better than the factory irons.
