Norinco Luger?

A repost of my comment from the previous thread on this pistol....

If you look at the high res photo you can see the quality is not all that good..

Last I heard that was made by a German gunsmith as a project., and is not actually made in China.

I would think if they were actually sold in Germany by Norinco that there would be more than that one same picture.

The quality looks pretty rough, but from what I've seen the quality has gone way up on Norinco branded firearms in the last few years.
If there are any importers out there listening in, put me down for one if they actually exist.

If its true and they can be had at a reasonable price with a restricted barrel, I would buy one. As much as I dislike Norinco stuff and agree with many that a huge allure of Lugers is the high quality, I need to have a Luger at one point in my life.

Talk about an old topic revived, that would be a pretty cool one for them to import to Canada (with restricted barrel), sure the quality wouldn't compare to the genuine lugers but you can't expect the world for the price of a norc.

How many of you Luger owners actually SHOOT them, though? I'd be too scared of damaging one.

I shot a friend's Luger a couple of weeks ago and it was great! Much more enjoyable than I ever could have expected. Was hitting 12" metal plates at 22 yards consistently with little effort. It's a quality firearm for sure and not something Norinco could duplicate.
