Hello, new to shooting so bear with me.

Just recently purchased a Norinco M-14 and have read up it needs surplus ammo, however, near the action its inscribe "308 win". Is this normal? would i be able to fire 308 win? or is that a no no. Thanks in advance

Awesome thanks

From what I have read here on the board , was to use ammo around 145-160 GR , and to stay away form the heavier 180 gr ammo, duo to fatigue on the bolt/action , someone that has used the m305 more would be able to tell you more , I am still waiting for mine to show up and still have weeks of reading to do here... happy shooting
