Norinco M-93 .22 Woodsman Copy

I just got M93 as well :)

one thing I noticed is that mine is M93 'Sportsman' NOT Woodsman. IIRC Colt Sportsman is a newer version of the gun... So did Norinco made an updated verion or all of the M93s are Sportsman copies?

they're all SPORTSMANs- norc is USING THE NAME- however, the parts blow-up is that of FIRST MODEL WOODSMAN-first seen about 1915- there ARE differences between the COLT sportsman and the norc, which are obvious when you see the parts blow-ups side by side- if you're curious , you can see them in that gun parts company's catalogues based in new york -

total P.O.S, misfeeds, sometime never fired at all and its fugly

Mine is boringly reliable just keeps shooting and shooting, never had a problem with it. Must be around 6,000 rds by now.

I will agree it won't win a beauty contest, but then neither will I.

As Colin said, I have put about 4 bricks thru mine with out a problem. You have to make sure you feed it with .22's that do not a a wax film on the bullet and you will be fine.

I like how small the gun is; most (restricted) .22's are WAY too large for the caliber...

btw does the gun like Dynapoints? I haven't shot mine yet.

the lever ones can be alright as well - i've had mine for 2 years plus now and it's fed almost everything i can throw at it-it's all been mostly dynapoints and fed bulk- as well as some range rejects that other people have just ejected due to ftf- try re-feeding the same round so that the FIRING PIN HITS IN A DIFFERENT SPOT- you have to remember that rimfire is finiky and will go"dead" over time as well- i usually get a couple to 10 complete duds out of a brick of 550 of feds, about 5 of winchesters-

tried mine last night, accurate enough, but ammo issues. it didn't seem to like the truncated cone of remington yellow jackets, and american eagle wasn't fully cycling the slide, which i think might have been cuz it was dirty. any other brands to reccomend? i'll grap a federal bulk pack and fgive those a try as well.

Nothing with a greasy wax kind of bullet works with mine, as long as the bullet is smooth it feeds like a champ.

I've only shot a few hundred rounds thu mine all Dynapoints, worked OK but had a few FTE's where the slide would fully close with a (fired)case still in the chamber I'm thinking the slide didn't cycle far enough for the case to hit the ejector.

I heard Federal bulk ammo works better, will have ti give them a try.
