Mine had two distinct issues.

Sometimes it would fail to extract a case all the way out. The emty would extract 3/4 of the way out. This is with all types of ammo, stnd and high vel.

There were a lot of misfires. This has been 100% cured by increaing the hammer spring pressure. An easy fix.

As for the FTE, I see the case mouths slightly deformed. I get the imprssion that the chamber is eaither a bit rough or a bit short, with my suspicion the latter. Slightly long cases jam into the chamber lip and create resistnce to extraction.

It is easy to polish the chamber, and I will, but if the chamber is short, I don't have a reamer to touch it with.

Any one else with this problem?

By the way. It has been said before here, and worth repeating: DO NOT REMOVE THE GRIP PANELS!!

Little parts will go tinkle tinkle on the floor and you will have to figure out what they are and where they go. Go ahead, ask me how I know this....

No light hammer strikes here, but I had the failures to eject in the beginning, but only after the chamber got dirty enough from shooting (over 150 rounds). I took care of that by polishing the chamber a little. I first cleaned it good with solvent and a bronze brush mounted on a drill. Then I went at it with a little jeweler's rouge over a patch rolled around a loose fitting old bronze brush. I have gone over 300 rounds without a single malfunction, and it's gotten quite dirty, too! I have tried about 12 or more ammo types in it and only subsonic and low velocity ammo fail to eject empties.

As for the grips, I have not only removed them a few times, I have even removed the darned Magazine disconnect and polished all the trigger parts inside. It now has a much better 2.5 lb trigger pull, but still a little mushy. However, I just can't bring myself to reducing sear engagement, because the Chinese are known for using very soft steel on internal parts. I just wouldn't want to make it unsafe.
