Norinco M14 double firing

awesome! what did he have to do?

New Norinco M305s can be a PITA, but once you get them sorted out, they are a joy.

I think what he said was the inside was basically looking banged up, like there nicks and burrs of metal in there that all needed to be filed down correctly which he did. At the moment I'm going to refrain from opening to take a look to see the difference and just leave her be for now but I did open it to do the tilt test but didn't remove the piston. I can only imagine that it looks and feels much smoother in the cylinder than before. The piston is moving freely and slowly like demonstrated in the tilt test

This is by far my favorite gun in the collection. When it did shoot it had such a a powerful feel to it and watching the .308 round kick up dust behind my target on the backstop was much more satisfying than any other caliber so I really do hope I can finally start shooting away with this one again..maybe I can forgive Norinco :)

they sure are fun eh? sending rounds down range with one of these rifles really never gets old ;)
good news that you got her sorted out and sounds like yer learnin fast.
great bunch here willing to help new m14 shooters

I get all warm and tingly when I read threads like this. Gonna have to got oil down my M305 now...
