Norinco M14 please school me

These Norcs are fun as everyone has been saying, I have been tinkering with mine since day 1 learning how to take it apart, put it back together, clean it, grease it, change parts for upgrades, its been a good time lots of excellent info on this site for every question you might have, I dont have 2 yet, but I will be in the market for another soon. if you get one have fun with it, there are many variations that can be done, depends on what you like best, going for a classic GI look or even the bizzaro rouge chassis look ( no offense to the peeps that have them). buy one if you dont like it you can always sell it on the EE.

Ask away man, it's easier than trying to dig for information on your own

Agree, great rifle for the price. I am pretty sure Ellwood Epps had shortys for 406 last time I looked and they are in Ontario. Have fun.

I just checked Ellwood Epps are sold out now .

The 22 inch barrel is no where to be found , the Shotie 18 1/2 seems to be all that's left and not to many places have any stock left ,
Frontier has them for $ 429.95
Wolverine has tem for $ 465.00

T.E.C. Trade Ex Canada has them for $ 449.00

BUT THEY also have a special , one M305 ( shorty ) and 1000 rounds of 308 ammo for $ 899.00 & FREE SHIPPING !!

Just got mine and more than Happy with it .

I spent time with the Shorty last week at a store in Peterborough, Ont and fell in love with it,
much more comfortable than my SKS's and its a very handsome hardcore battle rifle,
this was the shorty.

I cant see how you could go wrong, I will be buying one.

I had a Mini14 at one time, so I had to buy a Norinco to try. Mine was already accurized so I paid more than a stock one for $400.00. I was very imprssed with my Norc, and I wanted a real good M14S, and I ended up buying a Custom M14S from LRB. The only thing I didn't like about the Norinco was the side mount for the Scope. I had problems with mine, but LRB makes a Custom Receiver, with cut out slots designed for a scope rail built right into the Receiver. This eliminated any scope problems, and made for an extremely accurate Rifle. I use my Norc for plinking, and saving the Barrel on my LRB for serious shooting and hunting. Go for the Norinco. Incedible value for the price. If you do decide to buy a Springfield, you can put your Norinco up for sale here and get most of your money back.
