Norinco m14 question regarding gas system

Hey there guys how do you do?
Im sorry I have a real quick noob question for somebody. I acquired a SEI gas cylinder some time ago, and I was was wondering if this would fit alright on my norinco? Or do I need a usgi barrel?

will be fine on a norinco barrel. you will need a usgi spec (or M1A ) gas piston and gas plug though, if you don't already have them

And you'll need to use your Norc gas lock, so don't throw it out

I took my norinco piston put it in my lathe and hit it with some very fine emery cloth. Took off about 3 thou. IIRC Norinco piston od was the same as the usgi id
