Hey all..I recently inherited a collection of rifles among them a norinco m14. I had it checked..told its in good shape..the body is in great shape no cracks scratches etc. I cleaned oiled it and have shot it a few times. Im just wondering what the resell value of it..I had one guy suggest 400-450 $...

They seem to go fairly quick at that price on EE. Canada Ammo is selling new shorties for $450 for a reference price new.

If it's bone stock then yeah $375-$450'ish depending on year. Get someone who's pro with the rifle to tell you if there's aftermarket parts on it, that could increase the value.

thats the EE for you, I never seen one go used for below $400, always seem to be 425-450

with ontario tax, canAm shorty is $508 ish, or 12-13% ish more

I've bought several under $400... In fact, I got one recently for $325 shipped with a bunch of mags & ammo!!!

LOVE the M14 platform!!!

Cheers
Jay

I recently sold an old heel stamped Norinco for $3K

Truth be told only the receiver was Norinco, everything else was TRW, USGI and SEI.

That is insane, when you can get a brand new shorty for 5% more from CanAm.

Yeah but they're the garbage ones with the messed up receivers.

Even if you do manage to get a good one, you'll have to wait 3 weeks just for it to ship and it will arrive in a blueberry box.

There is one variant of the Norinco that is distinctive has no sidewall scope base, is highly polished and blued, and has a Norinco "Star Trek"-like logo engraved on the side. These are probably the first import batch and were done this way to distinguish them as a more-true sporting rifle. Other than the receiver, the one I saw had a beautiful USGI P-marked stock. Likely swapped in after purchase.

If it's been owned by numerous person, definitely fired many times and it's a Norinco M14?

I would put her up for $400 shipped.

It's a used gun man, people can buy them brand new with warranty for a couple more dollars.

That's just me though.
