Norinco M213 Extractor Spring

Took my new M213 out to the range yesterday for the first time and after about 20 rounds the extractor pin came loose and the extractor and spring fell out. I found the the extractor but couldn't find the spring. From what I've read in a couple of posts, and from what CanadaAmmo told me, this is a common problem.
Questions:
1a) Does anybody know a source for new or used extractor springs for this gun (I contacted Canada Ammo and they have none left)?
1b) How about a replacement from another gun that would work?
1c) Failing all the above, can somebody give me the dimensions of the original spring so that perhaps I could source one (or some) from somewhere?

2) Suggestions on how to secure the extractor pin in place so it doesn't come loose again?

I had mine out on the bench and the extractor spring is a really tiny thing. Give me a few days to get some time to take it apart again and see if I can make a few replacements. It sounds like a bunch of us will need them.

It's so small and short that it's not a critical deal to be the exact same rate but obviously it needs to be there to make the extractor work.

To keep the pin in place the trick is to "bruise" or distort the pin so it slightly ovalizes the pin. That'll make it a tougher job to drive it in and out but it should stay in place. The correct treatment is dependent on how hard the pin is. Let me play with one of mine and I'll post back with the best and easiest trick.

Did you have any luck making replacements? I put this little repair item on the back-burner, but now I want to shoot my gun so I gotta find a spring ;-)
