Norinco M213: my personal review.

I did it with a Tokarev 54-1 two years ago, but the M213 is just as strong.

How has that conversion held up so far? Round count, wear, etc.

I've only put fewer than 100 rounds through it, so I can't say, but obviously it will not last as long as with 9mm Luger. To be honest, for me it was a pointless exercise, other than to have fun doing it.

The fact remains - it's a very strong design.

Pachmayer makes a slip on grip that works well on this tytpe of gun.

I have this grip & a trigger shoe on my 1945 TT33 Tokarek & I find they improve the ergonomics ( or lack of) on this gun.

I like the original grips, but JIC: what particular model and size would fit the Tokarev?

I haven't been feeding the 9x23 Winchester through the Norc, I haven't opened up the ejection port to be able to eject the longer unfired rounds. I just put the 9x23 Winchester barrel that I use on my Romanian Tok on it and removed the magwell spacer. I put in a 7.62x25 Mag loaded with 9x23 Winchester rounds in and hand cycled, which worked. I had to remove the magazine to get the unfired round out through the magwell.
I've been pretty much only shooting 9x23 Winchester out of the Romanian. No Kabooms yet! I've shot maybe 500 rounds of 357 level 9x23 Winchester through it, no problems at all. I am debating selling the Norc 213 and getting another Yugo M57. If I keep it I'll lengthen the ejection port. The safety on the Romanian is not effective, it will move to the fire position while in the holster. I'm definitely going to sell that one if the 9x23 barrel will fit on the Yugo's. I expect that it will.
I much prefer the safety on the Yugo M57 to that on the Norc. It's set up externally just like the Colt 1911, I don't know about the internals. It might be possible to modify the Norc to use the same type of safety as the Yugo M57. I'll be picking up my two new Yugo's tomorrow. I'll check out the possibility within the next day or two.
