I bought a M305 today and am test fitting it into the G&G Sage EBR chassis. Can I run it with the stock operating rod guide and run it as a FREE FLOAT? The Airsoft version that would allow the barrel to attach to the aluminum chassis wont fit. Does or can anyone make me the correct piece? A proper Sage chassis is pretty pricey and I already had this one laying around. Where can I host a picture?

The original is on the left and the G&G is on the right. Can it be made of aluminum or does it need to be steel? Can I weld a nut onto each side of the stock op rod guide?

Also I thought I would share a cool trick to get the flash-hider off. I loosened the castle nut by placing the bayonet lug in a vise and loosening the nut [RH Thread] with a small punch. Then I loaded a dull chisel bit into my Snap On air hammer and gave it a couple raps [on the backside of the bayonet lug]. It started moving right away. I unthreaded the castle nut a couple more turns and gave it a couple more raps. Repeated this a couple times and the flash hider was in my hand with no damage. Smooth surface and wont require any other work to reinstall.
