Hey All!

I recently bought a m305 off of the EE ( from an awesome seller ) that I thought was a chu wood stock which I was all geared up to refinish. After making the purchase the seller told me the original buyer paid extra for a fancier stock which I've now come to realize is what is called an Italian Wood Stock that certain stores had in limited numbers .
Anybody have ones of these ? How do you care for the wood ?

Cheers

A little bit of linseed oil never hurts. Rub it on to the stock with a cloth, let it sit for 15-30 mins, wipe off anything that didnt soak in, if it all soaked in then maybe put another coat on.

you have a walnut stuck if it is Italian. very nice stocks, wish they would do another production run. plenty on how to finish walnut stocks , m14, on the m14forum site.

They definitely look better in wood.

Just rub it with boiled linseed oil or tung oil (with or without driers). Wipe on, wipe off.

Congrats on the purchase. The Italian walnut stocks (from Minelli, I believe) are beautiful. hxxp://outdoor.minelligroup.com/portfolio/2mil005v01/
