Norinco M305 (M14), NP22, NP29, NP34, M93, NP58 and Norinco 223 Rem/556 & 308 Win

I cracked open one of the spam cans to check out the ammo... I had thought the 1600rds of 5.56 smelled funky!

That horrible smell is the scent of aggressive capitalism coming from a communist country LOL.

I thought it would smell sweeter, somehow.
 
They started the process for my NP 34 as well !!! Woo Hoo .... Being in Ontario I'm sure it will be a couple weeks o get the transfer done and shipped out but Damn I'm happy I'm getting the new style 34 !!!
 
I've always wondered, how safe are surplus chinese bullets? Are blow outs/duds a common thing with them? Are they going to gunk up my gun faster than normal bullets?

I heard they are just more filthy. More residue left behind? Not sure about reliability issues on them. I have some surplus ammo for my sks and they are filthy but so far haven't encountered any duds
 
If anyone can post a pic of the new NP34 when they get it I would love to see what's coming LOL

Here's my NP34. Haven't got my ATT to go the range yet. I'm looking forward to testing her out.

Thanks! I just ordered a Streamlight TLR-4 for it. :)
The only issue I have with the gun so far is that the the paint on the rear sights wasn't applied properly. So I'm going to touch it up. Anyone have suggestions for what to use? I was going to try paint from a hobby store like you'd use on model planes or something.
