Norinco M305 Short Rifle Modification Options?

Hey guys, so I just bought an M305 Short Rifle from CanAm and should have it here early next week. I am looking to do a few mod's before the spring, nothing too serious. I had my eye on the operating rod guide from M14 Doctor and a good quality operating spring to go with it. I do have two questions about the two other mods I wish to do.

1. I am looking for a black synthetic stock eventually to replace the Norinco one. Ideally I want to find a matching stock and handguard of good quality, much like the black composite one Springfield offers however I don't need the rail on the handguard. I just want it to be solid good quality with good texture and fit well on the M305 Short Rifle. I know that last part may be a problem however, is there a stock like this that will fit well on the new Norinco M305 Short Rifle without needing alot of custom filing/sanding and fitting? Ballpark how much am I looking at spending for the stock and handguard and where can I get one in Canada?

2. I may want to also upgrade the front and rear sight. I have heard that the M-1 Garand sights work well, I have also heard mention of National Match front posts. I am going to try the factory ones first to see if they work but if not what are my options for some good quality brand new M14/M1 type sights.

I basically want to make a M1A Scout Squad without the rail hand guard. I just want to have a better quality stock and sights and upgrade the operating rod/spring. Thanks for your time, Max-4
 
Cool, I'm planning on doing a build as well, I've sourced all the parts from Brownells, but due to the 100$ limit, I'll need to order them in multiple orders... but I figure I might be able to get most of the internals in 1 or 2 orders (depending), then the sights in 2 orders...

The only thing though is the SA synthetic stock... not too sure where to find them, I've seen some new aluminium stocks coming out for this year, so we'll see where it goes.

I'm going to putting up pics of the FOURTH model of the ICR custom composite M14/M1A rifle stock line up in about 2 weeks. This model is in the standard profile, similar to the walnut usgi stock profile.
This stock will be availlable in the following configuration:
- standard model , includes front and rear sling studs, M1A recoil pad with mounting screws and does not require a metal stock liner. It is a drop in fit for the chinese and american actions with the chinese length connector lock pin. NO modifications required for most rifles.
These stocks will not be "cheap" as each one is fabricated by hand to a precision fit and superb function. Side and bottom rails are optional and can be tailored to your specific needs. Email me to inquire ;)
