other then "chinese crap get a real ithaca". so meaning people who actualy own or have owned or used one.

i've heard good and bad about these any input?

told to stay away from the combat model with folding stock and ghost rings as it is utter crap? standard model i've been told is on par?
feed problems same as the ithaca? mostly because people not being aggressive with the pump (bottom ejection and feed)? any issues, fixes, ect. is it like the older m37 able to slamfire?

asking because i have been looking for one (standard) for a long while. got one and it is inbound. just asking because it took over a year to get a used one. for beeing crap i never see them on the ee (etheir type model)? marstar has been sold out for well over a year (course that isn't unusual) as well as other companies that stocked them?

thanks

I brought one into inventory at my shop.
It worked OK. Sold it and it stayed sold, didn't get it back.
Elected not to get any more.
It was really crude compared to an Ithaca.
I would look around for a used Ithaca before buying the clone. Why spend the time looking for a Norinco, when Ithacas are more readily available?

I love my hp-9, but I would just get a real ithaca for 250 or so and be done with it. I don't see what advantage a norc would have.

thanks fella's,

the advantage would be that it is forged steel with steel parts crude or not. has to be better then a brand name with cast or polymer (sp?) parts made outside of the u.s. and assembled in america (maybe). anyway i no a gunsmith that can work wonders.

if i was lucky enough to get a ithaca police type shotgun same condition, for what i got this one for i would have jump on it. as far as the norc 870's the 14" barrel is the only thing around. not realy my needs. i was intrested in the norc police model with a 20" barrel and a 5 cap tube. but it was well over twice what i got the m37 without post.

you are right the remington 870 or norc 870 is the way to go and will be in the future. unfortunately no funds at the time. actualy sold or selling firearms. but don't want to be left completely out in the cold. if you no what i mean.

I had the Norinco m37 clone with the regular stock. It is the only Norinco I actually hated. From day one it would jam when feeding shells. I took it to a smith and he smoothed all the internals, claiming it worked better. It didn't. It failed to feed every 3 to 4 shells. I am a big guy, so racking it properly wasn't the issue. I even had others try it.
I finally sold it here on the EE. I explained fully about every damn issue it had, and was surprised to find a buyer in a day or two. I asked that he inform me if he had better luck, but I have never been given an update.

I wish I had instead purchased any other Norinco shotgun first.
