Norinco M4 10.5" vs 14.5" (no one has the 14.5 in stock)

Badger Arms has one in stock and is clearly listed as a Norinco, but this one at Lever Arms is clearly not a Norinco. Anyone ever use Badger Arms before?

10.5 is awesome. Grab a $7 extractor booster and it will run 100%

Does anyone know where I find this item and how hard would it be to install? I found a 10.5" at the same place as the Ammo I need, both with free shipping so its a good deal if the extractor will be my only possible issue with the 10.5" version.

The Chinese ar15 at lever arm is norinco. What makes you think it is not?
It looks identical to a norinco ar15.

Bronwell in USA sell the extractor upgrade.
The upgrade works for some people and it does not work for others.
There are people who replaced the whole bolt carrier group and still have problems.
You might get lucky and get one that works right out the box....its a chance you take when you norinco 10.5"

I really REALLY dont want a headache for a gun, maybe I should just stick with the 14.5" model..... I like the look of the 10.5" model but seriously, I cant see spending time and money to make it work like it should right out of the box.... :(

10.5 inch AR's have, until recently, always been pickier than longer barrelled carbines. This is due to the gas system being the same length as 16 and 14.5 inch, but the pressure pulse being shorter and sharper - the pressure pulse is controlled by the length of barrel after the gas port. If you're looking for an all round AR, the 14.5 is probably your best choice, even the high speed guys tend to keep the shorties for entry work or jobs that require their compactness.

So one dealer has a CQB-M4 and another has a CQ-A1 M4, both 14.5", whats the difference? I did google it, couldnt really find anything? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to get the right gun to put a big BIG smile on my face LOL :D

Different importer. Incidently, Norinco doesn't actually make guns, they simply market guns made by multiple smaller factories.

Thats true. All arms facilities it the PRC are owned by the state, norinco is NORth chINa COmpany or industries depending on where you read it.

They're the same gun - though this is at least the 3rd generation, possibly the 4th. Initially Norinco was founded to supply firearms to client states (Viet Nam and the Philippines) as the NORth China INdustrial Cooperative. It is currently owned by Army.

so my only problem now is the fact no one was opened today for me to order one. Will be calling both badger and lever arms tomorrow to see how will offer free shipping like Canada Ammo does. If Canada Ammo had the 14.5" in stock, I would order both the rifle and the 1600 rounds of ammo from the same place.

The 10.5's need the extractor booster to run well. The importer will get you one for free if yours didn't come with one

I have both and both run like champs, unless your life depends on it or you do a lot of competition, or have money to spare, you don't need anything more than norinco for range plinking

Which one do you like better, the 10.5 or the 14.5? I still think for the benefit of the doubt I'll get the 14.5"

Who are you gonna order from? (Think carefully about their customer service record... It's important!)

We bought our two 14.5 inch barreled Norinco M4 clones from Marstar, consecutively numbered & on the side of them it is marked;

CQ-A5.56MM
SEMI-AUTO RIFLE
00****-10 (triangle with CQ in it) CN CA

NEVER a hickup with either of our guns. They work!

Cheers
Jay
