Norinco M4 bolt catch engaging late...

Hey All,

I recently purchased a Norc M4. Thing shoots great, not one failure with cycling /extraction but on at least 4 occasions the bolt catch engaged late. Normally it should catch the bolt once the mag is empty but instead it catches the bolt carrier. So the bolt is forward enough as to not load the first round on a new mag if I were to strike the bolt catch. I have to instead use the charging handle.

I have CLPed the bolt catch and still same result. It feels no stickier than any C7 I have fired which makes me think its possibly the Norc Mags. Anyone else have any experience with this?
 
Does the bolt latch spring still work?
If yes then...
Try rotaing the mag latch 1 more revolution to tighten it up a bit. it that dosn't work then it sounds like it's time for some new follower's.
 
Bringing this thread back from the dead, but I have been having the same problem. I have just over 150 rounds through my Norc and noticed this problem on the range last time. I have tried a few different mags, still the same problem. Even if I bring the bolt back under control with a empty mag, same thing. The bolt catch engages at the bolt carrier.
Anyone else have more input into this? I did a few forum searches and this doesn't seem to be a common occurrence.
