norinco m4 pictures--warning 2.2MB

Does Lever check their email? I emailed them about these 2 or 3 weeks ago, no reply. I can't do business with a shop if they can't check their mail. Sorry.

it does look good. Is it interchangable, or like the CQ311? Has anyone tried to fit different parts on it? Price is good. Paint looks good to me(someone said the paint job was shotty)

If both Lever Arms and Arms East put a warning on their website regarding the finish of it, it's because they have many of them with the problem.

When you go in store, you can actually select and see the finish. If not happy, you may ask for another one... this is not the case when you purchase over the web or by phone.
You basically don't put on display your worst "finished or scratched" rifle on the shell...

Still, I think it is a good deal but we should wait for the range report, and by range report, it should be out of 1000 rounds or so.

I must admit they look pretty good...hopefully they hold up well and we can some some new shooters out to the matches...
M4 $899.00
Falcon 1.5-5 scope $285.00
Mount??
Looks like a winning combo.

I don't know... there's the old adage that says "you get what you pay for". The Norc will have to make its marks before I even consider looking at it. I'm not a big fan of China either (quality control sucks, overall quality sucks, labor exploitation, etc.. ). For now I'll stick with the American and Brit (Saber) brands.

Nevertheless, congrats to the guys who got a inexpensive AR to shoot and have fun with. You have more guts than me!

It would be nice to see and handle one in person before I would think of getting one. Will wait to see what the ranges report come back like and see what others are still saying about them after so time with them.

Maybe dangertree (armseast) can give us some input on the finish of the ones he has in. I know he said the finish wasn`t great but if it better than the lever arms gun pics, we will all be happy. Your gun looks acceptable to me for the $

Jesus, I just looked at the pics of Levers website. those look like pics someone would put up saying "look out! dont buy this, it a piece of ####!! .

rather than pics to advertise a 'new arrival' firearm.
based on those pics, would anyone buy one?

gotta admit though, these pics you posted up. the gun looks great. hard to tell its even a norc.

Just got to handle one over at Lever - the finish leaves something to be desired - it felt sprayed on and smelled odd. More lead in the rifle or on the rifle? :p The mag, bolt and bolt carrier all had an odd finish to them as well.

The rifle itself seemed sound enough to handle and shoulder - controls felt 'sticky' (I suspect due to the caked on feeling finish - my Armalite never felt that 'sticky' when new). If the price would come down a bit and the finish could be easily solvented off (so it could be redone), it's not a terrible rifle - but I too would wait on a range report a few months down the road.

We'll have a range report posted after this weekend coming.

Lever took pics of the worst they could find, I guess so no one can say they were promised better. Most of them look better than the pictures posted.

Trivia maybe, but these aren't Norincos. I know these are sold internationally as a military product, which leads me to guess Polytech. But the CFC has named them NORINCO on the Reg Certs, so, I guess they're Norinco's anyway.

These are made by "Chinese State Arsenal, Factory 216" (from the FRT Info). The serials seem to run from 001, so I'd guess that this is the first run of non-fullauto CQ 556 produced? The FRTs for the F/A version exist and are older and more detailed than the FRT entry for this gun.

That's all I'll guess because I know very little of the workings of the Chinese arms industry, and I shouldn't speculate too much. Anyone who want's to school us all, please step up. I'm sure someone here knows.

I can say I know a few Americans who really want one of these out of curiosity to see "China's M4 Copy". All else aside, they're an interesting story.

Oh yeah, they don't say MADE IN CHINA on them either.
