Thanks to Badger Supply (one of our sponsors) my new Norinco M4 is here. One week from order to playing with it. Looks good. Love the comic book. Looking forward to enjoying the “better annihilating firepower” it promises.

Packed in the box is a black sling. Has a hook at one end and some kind of clips at the other. Comic book does not show a picture of how it is rigged, nor is there an explanation.

I would like to rig it so I can drop the rifle in a CQB when switching to pistol.

A picture is probably worth more than a 1000 words on this one.

One week from order !!! I just got my reference number from the Alberta CFO today and I ordered on the first of july.

Oh well. There's a thread not far from this one with a picture.

I'm pretty sure it goes like this.

Sold my M4 so that's all I have........

I don't recall.

That is the only way I could get the rear clip to engage the "swivel" in any sensible manner.

I do recall it was relatively functional. I never shot the rifle with the sling on nor did any mag changes.

Perhaps someone could test?

I was too busy enjoying the "overwhelming firepower" and neutralizing "group active objects" :D

No, I think you put your left arm (or more the elbow) between the front strap and the rifle, and try putting your right arm and head through the loop part. That should work. Drop it and it hangs at your front.

Thanks. The clips fit together. But would not that sling intefere with the mag well?

This looks kinda like the HK 91/93 series issue type sling. Are you able to slide the buckle up and secure it to the front swivel attachment (on the sling)? If so, you can also use it as a conventional "hasty" sling for longer range shoot support. Then you can have a patrol type sling as well as a support sling depending on how you configure it.:)

Yes, you can do that...
Hanging down in front, loop over the head/shoulder

To switch it around remove the spring operated clasp from the front sling mount and hook on the clip, it is surprisingly hard to get off unless you pull the clasp out a bit and there is no tension on the sling.

Then you have it slung over shoulder the conventional way

The orginal sling setup is just plain DUMB! I put on my Blackhawk 3-Point Sling and it works much better. I am thinking about replacing the stupid metal off-set buckle with a detachable clip to make it function better like a true 3-Point Sling.
