Norinco M4 -stuck bcg

I see a wide variety of bcg's available. Is a standard bcg adequate or would I need something more?

AR15 BCG is fine.

I have seen a bunch of Norc 10.5 AR's missing the extractor booster lately, including the last one I bought. Installing a 5 cent part makes it work like a champ.

if you take out the front and rear pins it should come apart without a lot of issue. If she's stuck real good you might have to pull kind of hard but otherwise a relatively easy fix... you'll be kicking yourself once you do it and realize the simplicity of it. (and no offense, not trying to make you sound dumb... Ive been there)

The problem is fixed as stated in a earlier post and buffer tube was stopping it from seperating. If poping the 2 pins was all it took and and I couldnt figure that out I think darwin would have made short work of me earlier in life d:h:

I have a SI defence milspec auto bcg in it now

I am curious about this booster, being a newb ar guy and all. Ive looked it up but couldnt find much on it or any videos either.

it seems to me it is only with the 10.5's.

yeah only affecting half the rifles is fine,:stirthepot2:f:P:

besides its so much easier to be mad a some fat canadian for being hung over and forgetting to tighten a screw every once in a while

then it is to be mad at some 13 year old girl who worked 23 hours straight because she fell asleep at the assembly line where she has, and will, install extractor inserts for the rest of her life.

I like both guns, and own both. both worked out of the box just fine. #### happens, sorry it happened to OP hope you dont have to spend too much to fix the gun

Hardly half the rifles. There has only been one batch of 10.5's? Plenty of 20, 14.5's in the country, for years too.I also have a 14.5 ive had for years, fired thousands of rounds through it, never had a problem.

Did you guys use the Norc bolt and upgrade the extractor or did you go with a new bcg?

I used the Norc bolt that was in the rifle. Main point was increase extract spring pressure, but of course not to the point of immobility (should retain same travel but with just more tension) and your extraction issue should be over.
