how old is the pistol? did you buy it from marstar? have called marstar to see if they will warranty it anyway? marstar is awesome for standing behind what they sell even if they didn't sell it to you in most cases.
 
I do not think the crack would show on a picture. I will try taking one in the morning better lighting.

Yes I did buy it from Marstar but some time back. It is no longer under waranty. My brother and dad abused the hell out it.
 
There is a long story associated with this M77B pistol. Without going into details everyone in my family has had a chance to abuse it a little bit...:). I have no way of knowing the round count. After the long discussion over the weekend, I am guesstimating over 3000+ may be more. As for the ammo weight it varried 115, 124 or 147 and of course there is lots of my dads special blend depending on his mood that day. None of us can ever tell what the weight is. I think this pistol was just abused way more than it should have been.

I have located a gunsmith in the area. I am waiting for an ATT to drive it down there for a quick verification.
 
Thank you for remembering. I picked my beloved toy up from the local gunsmith yesterday. He replaced the barrel. As I had feared there was a small crack. Actually, He was surprised that I even saw it. Unfortunately, I will not get a chance to try it out since I am leaving for the country tomorrow evening. However, my wife offered to take it out and keep an eye on all of our toys...lol
