I need a picture of a properly installed slide stop spring and slide stop. I have the parts diagram which came with the pistol but the relationship and parts layout of the slide stop, slide stop spring and the slide stop plate is not correct. I am replacing the spring and a little unsure of how it should be installed. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Jack

One of the most difficult handguns that I have fully stripped down to just nuts and bolts and reassembled.
The colt woodsman was easier to reassemble.
Very finicky spring placement for trigger linkage and slide holding open arm.

Did you place the slide stop spring on the back "boss" or the front one? Picture in parts diagram shows the spring facing backward and it should be facing frontwards in my opinion. It is supposed to hold the slide stop down and the button on the side of the magazine is what holds the slide stop up after the last cartridge is fired. Please tell me I am correct in my assumption.

Unfortunately it was a few years back so I am not sure as to the actual placements.

But there was an American web site that steered me in the right direction.
I did do a lot of Google searches.
Best of luck.
