Got my M93 two days ago in the mail!

Awesome piece, for a great price.

The main reason why I'm posting however is: are there replacement grips available for these? The synthetic (?) grip that comes on it is ok, but I'm thinking a nice set of wood grips would really set this gun off. Any hits out there, or am I left to fab myself up a set?

Series 1 Colt Woodsman grips are said to fit. Not impossible to find, but certainly not cheap.

Some use a small Hogue HandAll to improve their grip, but I'm with you on choosing wood for aesthetic reasons. Making my own has turned into a long term project (too much shooting to be done!).

Sounds like I'm making a trip to the local lumber yards to look for some good pieces of wood. What type of wood would you recommend?

Depending on how much woodworking experience you have, you might want to do a trial run with something soft and easy to work with (e.g. pine). Might well be worth the extra time taken.

As for what wood you want to wind up with, well, the world is your oyster. Personally, I'm going with maple. What do you want yours to look like? I sometimes go to the Ahrends grips website to get ideas...
