Looking for a cheap reliable 22. I have heard that these things are hunks of ####e' is this true ir just more anti norinco ####e'.

Anyhow I would love to hear from owners of these things as I am thinking of making numerous attempts to by one from marstar.

thanks in advance

Although not an owner (yet), I've done a bit of pokeing around on this gun. by all accounts this is a cheap economical way to (fairly consistantly) bust some caps, so to speak. just about everyone I've talked to likes their "little .22". if thats what you want, you will be happy. I'm currently looking for a 9mm befor I round out my collection with a .22. and then I will most likely get the norinco .22. just remember, with Norinco, theres always a chance you could get a "built on a friday" gun. but hay, the P22 cost alot more as wasent a very good gun either! (the problems have been ironed out since then though). for the money, you can't go wrong!

cheers,

I have the M93, I have put close to 5,000 rds through it by now and not a problem. The only thing I did with it is to sand the corners of the grips.

Do not let gun scrub get on the grips or the mag follower, it will eat them.

I think part of the problem may be that people do not clean properly before use. I flushed the crap out of mine with wd-40 and a little paint thinner.

I have yet to take it apart and just flush it after shooting with wd-40, wipe it down and put a little gun oil.

I figure the gun is equal to a case of 9mm and has given me good chance to practice. It is not as good as the Ruger 22’s but if you are on a budget or need a 2nd gun for your wife, this will do nicely.

There are some legitimate complaints about Norinco, but take the level of them with a grain of salt.

I own the woodsman copy and for my first 22 semi I like it very much like it.It shoots ok nothing exciting, but it get the job done The only problem i found with it,That it does not like americal eagle ammo.It goes from a semi to a single shot pistol.Other then that I had no problem with it.Here is a picture of it.

Fun pistol for the price. Nothing exceptionnal. Average accuracy, trigger, sight, everything. Picky on ammo (mine only likes Remington Thunderbolt) and a ##### to re-assemble if you don't know how to disassemble it properly, but otherwise ok.

The fun/price ratio couldn't be better for this one.

I have a M-93 and it's been great. I don't mind abusing it a little. When i bought it new the spring for the bolt hold-open wasn't installed correctly. Quick fix and it runs great. When it gets really dirty (300 rds in an afternoon)I start to get light primer strikes. A quick cleaning fixes that. You can keep shooting the rest of the afternoon.

I'd recommend it for the price.

Mine shoots great - eats about a brick a day at the range. She seems to like the cheap Winchester lead HP best. Like Raider556 said above - make sure you scrape the accumulated crap off the breech every 300 rounds or so or you will start to get light strikes.

Mine loved the copper coated Dyna point from walmart, have yet to get a light strike. I find that the "thunderbolts" from walmart have a lot of duds, despite being tried twice.
