Norinco M93 firing pin/striker Issue

unfortantly mine i have had lots of FTF and FTE, i cleaned it up alot by de-buring all the parts and stuff and now it works alot better than factory. also depends on ammo though, mine seems to love most Federal and the Winchester M-22 ammo.

to the OP, any luck on finding a new firing pin yet?

my norc woodsman has the occasional light strike as well. maybe 1 out of 50 rounds will fail to fire. i chalk that up to the fact i havnt cleaned or field stripped the gun since i bought it. i have probaly close to 700 rounds through it. im kinda in the process of torture testing it to see how long it will go before it will die.

maybe it will be prudent to check if my ocasional FTF are a result of a broken firing pin or just fouling while im still under warrenty.

The firing pin is broken. Just took mine apart and it's the same.
Anyone know where to buy a new pin????

Wow, nearly 4 year resurrected thread. I would be interested though in a spare firing pin if someone has a lead on where one can be had. Ebola continued into this thread like it was just posted yesterday.LOL

I didn't even clue into it being a necro post untill you mentioned it.

It would be easier to buy another used M93 then just finding a firing pin for one I bet. Well at least here in Canada anyways. Midway has them listed on their website but I dont think they ship to Canada anymore.

As for my 93, I sold it off early last year. Got about a 1000 rounds through it. I never did field strip it or clean it. It was misfiring pretty constantly by the end. And yes the buyer knew that when I sold it to him. It was a pretty accurate pistol. The price was good to. No complaints from me about the M93.

It was replaced in my collection by a well used Beretta 71. One of the Israeli teacher's guns that came in. I picked one of the last ones from the batch that came in. All the good ones were all ready cherry picked. The one I got was beat to hell with dings in the frame, pitting and a little rust. But the actual bore was excellent. It functions well now after I cleaned it up the best I could. It is by far my favourite pistol now.
