Talk about timing. I purchased a Norinco years ago from Marstar and finally got her out to the trap range this past weekend (I did move up closer to the trap house)!

I had the base of three shells from the first dozen rounds or so catch/jam upon the right side of the barrel, but the gun shot fine without any problems for the rest of 75 rounds, so I'm not worried about it.

Aside from the wood on the Norinco model looking a bit plain (lacking grain, and not sure of the finish used on it) the gun is fine. I didn't try her with slugs but wouldn't hesitate to do that in the future. The only other problem with the trench version I could think of is that one would have to remove the barrel shroud and bayont lug to install the three shot plug if they wanted to use it in the woods for hunting, but that's probably not an issue for most purchasers of this gun.

had 2 norinco from dark, great shotgun. the m1917 bayonet (ww1 or vietnam era) fit great. able to slam fire ww1 "trench broom". had to sell mine when i got laid off, regret it. only thing i didn't like was it was the solid model 97 and to strip and assemble looked hard (in realitive terms compared to a ithica m37 or rem 870). btw, rodger "dark international" is great to deal with. get one if you can.
