Norinco MC-5D Mags

I have a Norinco MC-5D. I'm curious if there are others out there that have these, and what mags do you find work the best. I have two steels mags that came with it and find it can be a bit finicky to insert the mags. Maybe that's just to be expected.

These are just shortened AK mags. Because they are rock and lock it is finicky to do with them shortened bananas.
