Norinco MP5!!!!

there is this little guy...Famae SAF-200 ...looks pretty close to a MP-5...IMHO...Tactical Imports has the skinny on them..

VERY nice gun...but VERY expensive.

Making it to 100,000 rounds would be a lot for ANY gun...

Many parts would need to be replaced, many cleaning, barrels replaced due to the rifling getting worn out, ect.

They have ARs there too...but AR parts are common, cheap and are EASY to change out yourself, practically tool-less. Why they do not do this who...especially with barrels is beyond me.
When your charging people $1/shot for surplus 7.62x39...your making bank and should NEVER complain about hard times and high over head fees, that place is packed daily. They rack in the money and would make the money back on their big guns, even their most expensive "rare" ones in a few days.

Sorry but that's Jay crap true hk mp5 will last well past 100 k rounds fired with basic parts replacement.
I've shot a bunch of the. With well over 100 k shot
As for other guns, any quality firearm will last way past 100 k the issue is people fix when broken and not maintain the equipment

This thread has me thinking about something I saw in one of the Chinese gun magazines last year (yes they do have them, but they are obviously not "consumer driven" like U.S. gun magazines).

If it were done right... i.e. NOT the way Type 97 has been done the last five times people have tried to bring it to Canada... I see no reason why one of the state arms factories couldn't produce a semi-auto carbine in 9mm along the lines of the one shown below... one that has NO FULL AUTO TRIGGER COMPONENTS AT ALL and a receiver with different attachment points from ANY FULL AUTO GUN EVER PRODUCED ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. Realistically... if it were done right... how could the RCMP hold it back? Sure they won't like it, they'll delay it for 3 years... but if we "stick to our guns", with the mindset that, if this is not issued a restricted/non-restricted FRT then we take them to court... I think it could happen. However, in the "real world" of firearms business, it's the cost of all this B.S. (that it takes to get something approved) that kills these projects.

How many would buy a 9mm carbine that looked like a clunky Chinese MP5/UMP type thing.. for say $1,000? The 5 rounds mags would suck, but I would do it.

My point: anything that is a variant of a named prohib is obviously dead-in-the-water by law, however, increasingly just being a "variant" of a known type of automatic firearm seems to be the kiss of death in this country. But what about a new name with a design that isn't a variation on a pre-existing military design? I know... I'm dreaming. But dreaming online is increasingly all we have left in this country in terms of any new "military" style semi-auto firearm designs.

Anything other than a CZ52 with roller locking is prohib. It would be a variant of one or another prohib HK.

The HK P9S uses the roller delayed blowback system and is not prohibited, provided the barrel is longer than 105mm. Roller delayed blowback itself is not the problem.

If something, made in China or whatever, is a blatant copy of a G3-type action... then yah I think there is a good case (possibily a sure case) for prohib.

Being that most product from China is without a doubt a blatant copy of someone else's designs, my guess is that this would be no different...

It's surprising that a country that gave mankind some of the greatest innovations in history are no longer capable of an original idea...

Just what we need. More Norc knockoffs with its ugly trademark on the receiver.
