Norinco Non-Corrosive .223

Factory ammo can't boast that. That is an absolutely unbelievable claim.

Don't take these guys opinions. Look up norinco kaboom.

Norinco ammo is cheap for a reason. Is there any commodity that is high quality and cheap? Think about it.

I don't think that you are in any position to say that I am lying. I don't sell it, or promote it; I am just simply relaying my experiences with this ammo from over the years. Factory ammo can certainly boast this. I have no clue where you are getting your information from. I understand that Norinco had a number of case-lots that had issues, but I am not the only person on here that has testified to not having any problems with this ammunition. Is it the world's greatest brass. Far from it, but I have gotten many reloads out of mine with no issues.

I did not mean to call you a liar. You are here telling us you have fired roughly 100 000 plus rounds of Norinco (since the 80's) without any failures of any kind? Statistically, that makes no sense at all. It would have been believable if you would have said you have had very few failures, but not none. I have not seen anyone else make an absolute claim of 100% reliability from Norinco.

IMO, You are relaying incorrect information back to the OP who will make the purchase (like me) and possibly experience failures which could damage the gun and/or the shooter.

I would question anyone on here who has not experienced any ammunition related stoppages. If there are very rarely stoppages, why do we practice clearing them on Carbine courses??

My own experience:

I have been shooting AR's for exactly 6 months. I have had light primer strikes(AE 62gr), failure to eject/Double feed(AE 55gr), and case splits (N 55gr). Roughly 7 ammo related issues with approximately 1500 ish rounds fired. I have a Daniel Defense MK18+ rifle.

The factory ammo has been much more reliable, so I will stick with that.

I've fired Norinco ammo out of my Tavor and ARs. Just clean the ####ing things when you're done shooting.

I'm not sure where people's bad luck is from.

For .223 / 5.56 both AE and norinco I have had literally zero issues with 1000 rounds of each.

I have another ~2000 norinco and another case coming so I guess we will see.

Perhaps I am also just lucky, my rifles have been chewing up the Norinco's and even getting "decent" groups. For me at least they have been more reliable than Fed XM193. I hope my streak continues since they are affordable for plinking rounds.

No problems firing it and it always goes Bang, but as with any bulk loads its not high on the accuracy scale. If I want accuracy without reloading I tend to go with Hornady steel match in 75grain.

Over 6000 rounds through 3 ARs in the past 18 months without issues... It's not the MOST accurate, but it's not bad either. My shooting partner has shot a similar number (maybe more). He had only one problem... One primer came out of the pocket and fell into his trigger mechanism, debilitating his rifle for the day... We had to disassemble it to clear it. No permanent damage.

Apparently you can't read either. I did not say anything about 100,000 rounds. I have been shooting Norinco for decades and no problems. Simple as that. Many others on here with similar experiences. Some people with different experiences. I would never be so arrogant as to say that if everyone else's experiences didn't line up with mine, then somehow they must be wrong.

I have also shot Norinco ammo approx 5000 rounds had four FTF but other than that no issues. For the price I am more than satisfied with it.

I've found poor accuracy from both the 55 and 62 gr Wolf steel cased. Federal black box can be had for about $500/1000 or so... Might be time to start reloading plinking .223 as well as my 77gr long range loads!

Just tried a few five shot groups with '95 Norinco 5.56 along with some AR223 and Win USA. All 55 gr FMJ, fired from my Mini 14 w/ 3-9 scope. The Norinco ammo just barely fits into the magazine, the Fed and Win are both shorter. Norinco does smell, when you open the can and when fired.

They were all between 2 3/4 and 4 1/4 inches, the Winchester was the best but there was no difference between the Norinco and Americal Eagle.

It was -15 and windy. Using a wheel barrow for a rest, the groups could be smaller but certainly shows the Norinco is decent for plinking. I have a piece of steel 4"x8", 1 1/4" thick @ 100 yards. 9 of 10 rounds in a row hit steel leaving 1/2" pits.

I'm 60 rounds into my 800 round can, and happy so far.

That's the smell of Communism son...

I was at a range once and a guy 2 benches down was staring at me with a look of consternation . I pulled my ear-protection back and asked him if I could help him. His reply, " Are you shooting that Norinco surplus crap? Only asking because I can smell it from here" He was so bummed.

shot though my first two can the only issues I had was when using it with the LAR mags sometimes the bullet would get pushed into the casing from the round being pushed into the mag, I plan to dremmel a little of the front of the mags to prevent it from happening anymore, Tried it out in my buddies precision rem 700 and could not get groups better than 3.5", but for the AR platform its ran just fine for me, No split cases or primer blow outs yet.
