G'day folks.
Ever since i held a Browning Hi-Power at one of the dealers here in Winnipeg. I've pretty much caught myself day dreaming about it countless times. Now I don't nor will have in the near futur enough money to put down on a brand new Hi-Power seeing how when it's all said and done the cost will be around 1000$ for the basic model.
I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with the NP-18. I've tried running searches and scoured the interweb for some reviews but found nothing enlightening. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

Crap, avoid at all costs, nothing at all like a Browning HP.
You can find FEG (Hungarian) clones for $400-$500 that have a good reputation. They are not identical but pretty close. The Nork is more like a S&W model, but very very crappy. Used Browings can be found on here for $550-$650.
For the norks, any of the other steel pistols have a good rep, just not the NP18.

x2 for the FEG clones. I'm surprised Marstar brought in another order of the NP-18's. I don't know of anyone who's bought one (though I've seen one or two on consignment).
