Norinco NP-22, Conversation

Ok here is a question from my buddy that is a camp and not allowed on GN for some resin.
He would like to know if the .22 conversation for the Sauer P226 is compatible with a Norinco NP-22, 9mm.

I have both the P226 in .22LR and the NP-22 and no they don't interchange. It would require a bit of machining to make the NP-22 slide work on the Sig (it goes on, but so very tight that you have to push it both ways, the recoil spring won't move it). The Sig slide won't fit on the NP-22 at all. The lower has a steel reinforcement that is just a little different than the Sig and it prevents the Sig slide from moving all the way into position.

On the plus side the Norinco's trigger feel is virtually identical to the Sig, and it's accurate too. Not regretting buying it at all, it was cheaper than the Sig 9mm conversion kit.

The Norinco isn't quite as pretty as a Sig but you can buy 3 of them for 1 Sig. Or just one and a whack of ammo!

I don't know what magical dealer you got your NP22 from, or just how bad your Sig trigger is- but they are not even close.
