Hello,
I have been contemplating whether to buy a Norinco NP-28 or an NP-29. The NP-28 is the high capacity/double stack equivalent of the NP-29.
I am concerned about the availability of interchangeable quality parts, etc. and Marstar has been less than forthcomming with answers, in fact they told me to contact Norinco... yeah ... needless to say Norinco is not answering my emails
.
I was hoping someone here knows the answer to these questions:
Q. are the NP-28/NP-29 guns rated for +P or +P+ ammo?
Q. apart from the trigger, magazine and flat mainspring housing which parts are not stock 1911 in the NP-28?
Q. are there any non Norinco magazines that will fit the NP-28 or NP-29?
Q. given the proper ejector, springs, barrel, (maybe a multi caliber slide) is there a hope in hell to be able to conver the NP-28 or NP-29 to shoot .40 S&W reliably given that the feeding ramp angle is designed for 9mm?
Thanks in advance,
Target221
