i have a norinco np34 (sig 228 copy) and the firing pin is broken. i have a new firing pin but i was wondering if there was any way for me to change it without going to a gun smith. i have done it before on my norc 1911. is there a website that i might be able to find a step by step process to do this? any help would be greatly appreciated!!! i would like to get this done tonight so that i can go shooting on my birthday (which is tomorrow, the 11th of nov). thanks again guys and gals. cgn has been a great help and a big part of my life!!! jeremy

The Firing Pin is held in by a pin through the slide, drive it out from Right to Left, then depress the firing pin block plunger and the pin should pop out.

From the manual (they advise new pins)

tap out inner pin and outer pin using 1/8th punch

remove breech block
press firing pin forward remove safety lock and saety lock spring from breecblock

remove firing pin and spring

reassembly

slot of breechblock outer pin points up at 12 oclock and the slot of inner pin at 6 oclock

tap outer pin into slide till flush with inside, insert breechblock (with firing pin and safety lock installed) ensure properly seated.

Depress firing pin slightly and drive in outer pin halfway into breechblock, insert inner pin tap till flush with outer pin, drive both pins until centered

Check function.
