I hope johnone and the other norinco importers (if any) will have enough clout to squeeze in a batch of 106 mm barrels. Sweet! A Norkie S&W Model 10 clone, can't wait.

I wonder how many signatures it will take to convince John to give it a try? I will definitely be on the pre-order list.

If he could convince them to do a batch in 106mm I suspect they'd sell like hotcakes since the price would be low and it would be the only "nearly 4 inch" gun available other than the Ruger GP100. And being a Model 10 clone it would be smaller and lighter than the Ruger and just pretty much perfect for use in IDPA. The only issue would be about not being allowed over the border with it for shooting matches down south.

I could see such a gun as the next highly popular cult gun for gunnutz much like the Norinco NP29 and M14 has become.

johnone stated something to the effect of them being on the Norinco site but are not available to order ATM. I'd love a dirt cheap .357 to beat up if possible. A .38 would do I guess.

In my opinion they would have to be made to a high quality standard if there is any market competing with S&W and even used model 10's.

Would norinco take the time to make them with a trigger as nice as S&W? I suspect no.

This may be part of the reason why they are not available.

If Norinco can build their revolvers just like they build their 1911s, i.e. with reasonably decent fit and finish, very good reliability and accuracy, people will probably buy tons of it if the price is in the $250-300 range.

I think Norinco has the capability to deliver decent trigger pulls as well, if their 1911s are any indication. If not, I will just break it in with a couple thousand wadcutters. Or just use it for DA trigger training. Bet it'll make us a lot better when we shoot our Smiths, just like shooting DA revolvers can make us better 1911 shooters, IMO.

I sent Norinco an email a couple of years ago when they announced they were going to make this gun and suggested they make it with a barrel length >105MM for the Canadian market.
I got a "thank you have a nice day reply".

Take Care

No disrespect, but perhaps if somebody like Johnone ordered a few thousand 106 mm barreled revolvers, their reply would've been somewhat different. After all, how difficult would it be to tool up for a 4 mm longer barrel?

But what do I know?
