Anyone had the pleasure or displeasure of handling this pistol? Is it a complete POS. I am concerned more with its functionality does it misfire/misfeed? Does it have a very poor machined trigger group (CQ 556)
Comments anyone..I may pick one up if I don't get horrible replies.

I"ve got the np-22, same thing in 9mm. reasonably accurate, and it's pretty comfortable. no reliability issues so far. Trigger's a little heavier than you would expect, I weighed it to 6.5 lbs in SA.

I have the Sig and the Norc. They shoot about the same. Trigger about the same, very good in SA. Norc DA is heavier. Both shot low and needed higher rear sight. Norc dovetail is slightly bigger than SIG. Used a Sig rear in it, with a little epoxy.

Have the Norc 226 in 9mm and 40. Both very good. Have Sig in 40 and 45.

Norc is a better deal, if you want function / dollar.

Had a NP58. It is accurate, grouping-wise, although sights were not zeroed for my eyes. Easy to drift the rear sight, though.

DA trigger is short and quite stiff, guessing much more than 12 lbs, but didn't bother me or accuracy of first shot. Same with SA which was in the 7-8 lb range.

Finish is decent. Didn't shoot mine much to comment about durability, but it functioned 100% reliable in 100 rounds of my reloads, 175 grain Lee TC TL over 4.7 grains Titegroup.

I have the NP-58. I purchased it from another CGNer. It has a Dlask slide and a proper Sig 9mm barrel. I shoot the 225 at work and apart from the size of grip, I feel very little difference between Sig and clone. I don't think that the trigger has been worked but it is quite smooth and feels good.

I have a Norc NP-58 in .40 cal, never had an issue, lots of rounds thru it, finish OK, but as everyone else stated, slightly heavier trigger than Sig. I shoot the Sig 229 .40 cal at work, smoother finer trigger.

But I enjoy the Norc.

i lost my made in china thing long ago started with a sks then bought a m4 carbine. I prefer to shoot them and buy ammo. I participate in ipsc and i use a m&p for that for now because i can get parts, shooting every other caliber is just bonus. I had a sig 226 elite in .40 so i am really curious to see how the np58 shoots when it arrives. my sig became a safe queen @ $1500 was always worried about scratches etc. for all i know the norcs might outlast my american made guns. in the end its for fun shooting for me.

I bought a Norinco P228 clone and have been extremely happy with it. The fit and finish is quite good. No made in China or Norinco marks anywhere on the metal. Accuracy is great. First time out it was shooting 10 rounds into a circle the size of a loonie at 7 yards. I own 16 SIG pistols, including two P228's and the Norinco impresses me.

alot of good feedback from people who own both the clone and the original. If they say they are similar, and the Sig is a benchmark pistol,( God i almost choked on that one being a Glocknation fan, but seriously the Sig is superb), then i would consider the Norinco version. Has anyone seen the Factory refurbed P226s for $809.00. Maybe thats a good deal? still over 2 times the norc, but its the real McCoy.

Happy New Year everyone!

Got a np 58 and a np34 love them both now that I have changed the grip , the originals are a little slippery for me . I went with the hogue grips for both and they now are #'s 2 and 3 for favorite pistol , right next to my glock 22c. Wonderful guns and great price. Oh yeah and I have fired plenty of "real" sigs , I can't tell the difference.
