I am planning on buying a 9mm handgun and want information on the Norinco Np20 and the Norinco Tokarev. Which one in your opinion is an all around better gun?

If you're on a budget and want to go with a Norinco then why not get one of the CZ or Sig clones? They cost a little more but they are based on platforms that are known to work well. Yes the CZ and SIG clones cost about $100 more. But if that much is an issue for you then you won't be able to afford to feed any gun for long anyway.

The Tok' has a very short hand grip area which really only works well with a single handed grip. If you've got bigger hands you won't like the feel of them. The safety is also a bit of a joke since the proper high grip on the gun means that web of your hand is riding on the safety and tends to move it towards "SAFE" and suddenly the gun stops firing.

Norinco TT in 9mm? It's ok in original 7.62x25TT due to low ammo cost and fun factor.
I would skip 9mm in TT, I had 2 of them, it's not accurate at all and after 1000 rounds becomes very unreliable, due to crappy springs and added safety lever.
I can not comment on NP20, I never handle one, but I would agree on getting extra $100 and getting Sig based NP-34 pistol.
If you have urge to buy something inexpensive to shoot, just go for $150 Norinco M93 Sportsman for now. It's not 9mm but .22LR.. Save more and then get something later descent in 9mm

I do wait until the bloody NP-29 show up in December. Got one used from Ellwood Epp and couldn't be happier, will get another one when Mastar have them in stock. All other 9mm guns become no longer important to me.

I have one of each of all the Norinco 9mm, plus many other makes of 9mm pistols.

In my last CBQ competition i chose the Norc copy of the Sig 228. It is very accurate and 100% reliable.

I would have used my Norc 1911, but it was on lone to someone.

The CZ clone is also very good.

Each of the 1911, SIG and CZ clones is excellent but will feel different in you hand. Buy the one the feels best.

The Tok copies are not in the same league, and not a real good choice if you are only buying one pistol.

Norinco

Thanks for the replies .Money is not the issue and I will look into this Sig and Cz.Which one is the best of those as I won't be able to hold any of them?

See if you can set up with someone at the local club to try out their guns. Bring your own ammo and leave them with some as a thankyou for getting to borrow their gun(s).

I hav an NP-20 and a good friend of mine had the TT clone. The NP-20 is not a bad option for a budget but if I had to do it all over again I would def go with the sig clone. I have shot them all and they shoot and feel great. The TT clone my friend had was junk. Failed to feed and eject rounds constantly. My NP-20 has had a few fail to feeds but for the most part not a terrible gun. I only bought it as a beater for when I take friends to the range, and for the price it serves that purpose well.
