I recently sold my NP22 and I can honestly say I never had any issues at all with it using factory mags. It would digest any ammo I fed it and the trigger was super sweet.
Only problem I had with it was when trying to use Mec-Gar mags for the Sig 226. Turns out that the lip around the bottom of the mag was a hair too thick. I was going use a Dremel and file off upper surface of the lip and try that, but I sold it before I could try.
