Norinco NP22

Yes, use the search function, I did to research this pistol before I got mine...

I loved my NP22, good fit and finish, shot great, seldom an FTE (although it did happen everyonce in a while), was very solid and shot straight.

HOWEVER once you get it (and I'm quoting another friend who had one first) #### your hammer and leave it in the safe for about a month!

Mine had a double action trigger pull a mile long and I'm guessing weighed in at over 20lbs...

The single action however was fantastic...

Speaking of that friend, he had his split down the middle (slide guide rails split like a banana after a couple thousand rounds) Marstar made good on their iron clad waranty and he promply sold the replacement gun.

I loved mine however!

Hope this helps

Seth

Mine did break, warning signs are FTE's and a silvery paste forming when you apply oil to the rails. To bad I really liked that gun. If I had the spare change I would buy the NP-34

I don't recall if any of the 34 cracked, it seems that all of the ones I heard of where the NP-22's.....hmmmm

Failure to eject, how in ####s name do you have almost 1000 posts without figuring that out?

I like my NP22. It's a good gun. Not as nice as a real Sig? NO S**T! it's a fraction of the price.

It's a prefect 'starter' pistol. If you find yourself at the range twice a weekend you can consider stepping up to a more expensive pistol.

Mine has seen a few thousand rounds, no problems, and my trigger is fine. double-action is very reasonalbe, single action is crisp and light.

 BTW thanks for the info

Tough love brother!

Hahaha, I think if you searched my post history, you'll see me asking the same question ;)

Bottom line, buy the Nork Np22 if you like the sig platform, you can ALWAYS resell a Nork in under 48 hours on the EE for almost what you paid for it... Norks hold their value well. Then you've got 350+ dollars to put towards a real Sig.

I've handled NP22 and liked it, looked like good value for the money...I did get a Sig though ;) heard too many stories of craked frames at low round count with NP22's...

4500+ rounds and no problems. Swapped the grips for Hogues and got used to the sights. After a few trips to the range and some dry firing, the trigger sorted itself out. Both SA and DA pulls are nice now and it's a reasonable shooter. For the money, I have no complaints.

Thats a good point,

order the hogue wrap-around (finger-grooved) grip at the same time. You can get them most shops, or on ebay... makes a WORLD of difference to the feel of the gun.
I put the original grips for mine in the garbage 5 minutes after I got it. Love the hogue grips!

I have heard of NP-34s cracking, in fact moreso than NP-22s. I am watching the rails on mine. Haven't shot it much or recently but I'm watching.
