I find the trigger exposure (too little) on my NP28 distracting . Will an after market trigger solve this situation?

How hard is it to replace a 1911 trigger? Is a trip to the gun smith required?

Where to get, what brand?

Suggestions.

Thanks

"...after market trigger solve this situation..." There are buckets of aftermaket 1911 parts. Including longer triggers. Has to be fitted though. Talk to your smithy about a trigger job and replacing the factory trigger.

Roger that.. Thanks.

Now I know what to ask for "a longer trigger"!

Don't forget the NP28 is a widebody 1911 frame so a standard single stack [traditional] 1911 trigger won't work in it.... ;)

Might be tricky getting a part to fit. For example, Para makes widebody 1911 frames, as do others, but who knows if those triggers or aftermarket triggers for widebody 1911 frames, like the Para, will actually "fit" or "work" in the Norc NP28 frame....

Hence the popularity of the increasingly rare NP-29.

"...is a widebody 1911 frame..." There is that. However, Brownell's sells long Paraordnance Al triggers. Not ugly price either. $29.95 US. $24.95US for a none shaped trigger. Does say they fit ParaOrdnance pistols only though.

That was my point. There are other wide body 1911's, such as the Paras, and no doubt wide body after market triggers for 'em. But as to whether said triggers will fit a wide body Norc model NP28 that is another question.

Were you able to find an aftermarket trigger?
