I took my Norc np 29 (older model) to the range today and after about 30 rounds it started to FTF on every single round...I've put probably 800 rounds through it and never had this problem..I tried several type of mags and ammo... no fix

The round would literally be jammed horizontally between the breach face and the feed ramp.

I really have no idea what would cause it as the feed ramp is still mint.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

Thanks!

Did you switch mags before the FTFs? Are you using the 9mm mags it came with? A 45 mag will fit it. I assume a 40 will as well.

looks to me like a FTL more then a FTF..?
Nork mags can do that ....you have to try other brand models/manuf mags and see if the pistol works fine, then you have to get rid of Nork mags

I would check the extractor. If it is plugged with dirt or broken, the cartridge may not be able to go properly from the mag & the rim of the case may not be able to go all the way up on the breechface.
As a result the slides tries to feed a round that is still pointing up at the front. Result is a FTL.

:agree:
Better get ARMCO on it ;)

If the mag lips have spread they will be releasing the round to early and allow it to porposie straight up. It will strike the top of the chamber to directly to cam over into the chamber and wedge straight up. And ussually drive the round back into the case, esp with reloads. Norc 1911 mags are garbage, throw them away, melt them down, give them to your brother in law, you get the idea. The pistols are 99% of the time quite good. I have the same pistol, out of the box one mag wouldn't even accept more then 3 rounds, the other would take 8 but only feed 5 reliably. Being wise in the way of Norc's, i'd ordered 5 wilson 9mm mags in advance, and they run fine. If it's not the mags, it will be the extractor as stated earlier

I removed the extractor..it was dirty as hell. clean it up nice.
I couldn't see any sign of damage, but Im not familiar with how pointed/aggressive the extractor tip should be.

After cleaning the extractor I cycled some dummy rounds, still the same problem :(
