I just put a vertex on the slide of my 45, but it was changed to a novak cut, I have a np22 ? 9mm 1911 that I am checking right now to see what sight base speck is.
The 45 works good with that sight, I have trouble with open sight with old eyes
The 9mm I have a grip mount sight base on it with a tasco red dot sight on it , good for targets, out side in bright sun , a bit hard to pick up the small red dot.
The vortex is a 6mm and easy to se, but 3x the $$
I did have a 60.oo ns crap sight on it , worked, but mount not good enough for 45, would be fine on 22 I think
