Norinco NP34 too cheap to resist Range Test

Actually they're steel slide and alloy frame. The 1911s however, are all steel and legendary for the superior metallurgy.
Ahh, thanks for that, good to know :)
So what holsters will these fit in as far as other Sig models go, maybe a 226 holster? Being a lefty more holster options is better, hoping to find something on the EE instead of ordering one if possible

I believe these will fit any holster made for a SIG 228/229. I don't have first hand knowledge on that one though since I quit buying holsters years ago. Too many range rules and only really fun around the house IMO.

Luckily, the only holster rules at my gun range are: No shoulder holsters. Be safe and in control. I used to be a member at a range where you had to get "training and certification" to use a holster. Sure, thanks... Meanwhile Yankees buy a handgun, box of ammo, and IWB holster, walk out the gun store and strap it on. In some states, that is :). I've seen it with my own eyes lol.

Well I just received mine yesterday and I gotta say it's a hell of a lot better finished than I expected lol, it's a fine looking gun for the money, can't wait to give it a run this weekend and see how it performs. How easy is it to find extra mags and are any of the genuine Sig mags compatible with them, I would assume p228 mags would work?

Isn't it true that the only money "the Chinese" are going to see from this purchase is whatever they already pocketed when Tenda or anyone else buys the gun for their stores inventory?

They do not get any of the $300 I give the Canadian dealer, that goes towards paying the Canadian staff that work there.

Where do you think the money to pay Norinco comes from? Some of it is from the retail sales at Tenda which they use to purchase more stock. So yeah, a portion of your $300 goes to the employees etc but some still goes to Norinco.

Tenda has them for around $35 each. Mine was shipped with the extra mags I ordered.

i have a np22 ,i enjoy it same mods paint sight open rear site a bit and hogue grips
i like it , have 2 1911 also 45 and a 9, i do have some expensive guns but at those prices the more the merrier

Tenda said they expect some Norc 1911s before Christmas.

I've been hammering the hell out of my 9mm Norc 1911 for a while.
It just keeps going. I freaking love it.
Just a nice heavy solid, reliable and dirt cheap handgun. Easily thousands of rounds now through it.
The single only issue I've ever had is the slide wont lock back with some certain mag brands.
But never an FTF or FTE in all this time.

I've never owned the 226 clone but would not hesitate to pick up a used one and fine tune it myself at home for nothing but fun time spent tinkering before dropping $1K + on an actual Sig. Not a huge fan of the mushy, ridiculous overtravel single stage triggers on them. It's a bad design. Even after installing an SRT it's still very apparent for me anyways. I've shot them a lot but I still prefer the 1911 by far.

Had the same problem with my NP 29. I stopped using the Norinco mags and replaced the Norinco slide release with a Wilson Combat 9mm slide release and never had another issue with it.

I had a Sig P226 and was not a fan so I think I will stick with the Norinco version of the 1911.

I do have a new holster , I got it for a Sig 225 , which I sold and never used the holster.
But it is RH, Uncle Mike's Kydex #5324-1 fits 225, 228, 229, 245. will not fit my 220R.
I have one for my 1911 and like it. no silly finger latches, you can adjust how tight the gun is in it

Excellent, thanks for the info :)
I’m happily surprised at the size of this pistol, I honestly expected it to be bigger. I have smaller hands, which is why I’m a Glock 19 lover, they fit my hand perfectly, the NP34 is almost identical in size to the G19! The one I bought came with Hogue grips on it and feels very nice in the hand, I thought it would be a thicker gun but the grip is actually narrower than my G19. I can’t wait till tomorrow to try it out :)

Got out last Friday for a quick shoot with the NP34 just to give it a run. I’ve never owned a da/sa pistol before and I’ve only ever shot a Sig once, which was a few years ago but I do remember it shot very well.
I didn’t really find the DA that bad, it was a long pull but it was smoother than I thought it would be and I’m sure with practice I could get used to it, although it probably wouldn’t be ideal in a competition setting with a limited round count lol.
I only tried it at 7 yards because it was absolutely pizzing rain and there was a target stand set at 7 yards and I was wet and lazy :)
This is my first 10 shot group, the dropped shot was the DA
And of course pics are sideways :(

As a lefty I’m pushing everything slightly right but I have no doubt I will correct that,, it’s definitely not the Glock trigger I’m used to.
I took it along to a speed steel match yesterday and half dozen people on my squad gave it a run on the plates, Everyone agreed that it’s a fine pistol for the money, it ate a variety of ammo and did exactly what it was designed to do. I picked this up of the EE for a ridiculously low price, but even at what Tenda has them for I would have to say they are a bargain. This gun will be a great addition to the stable, and a cheap way for me to intro new shooters to a DA/SA platform

Picked mine up at the PO today. Fits my hand nicely. I carried a 5946 for 17 1/2 years, so the weight and the double action don't bother me a bit. Can't wait to try it out. Right now there is enough oil on it to change oil in my old truck. :p

As much as possible, I am not going to support the Chinese economy.

And that's all I have to say about that, Forest Gump ca. 1993

Types message on Chinese keyboard, connected to Chinese computer, sends signal across internet composed primarily of Chinese equipment....
