Norinco NS522 Has opened my eyes!

I hope Can Ammo are giving you a discount code for your video, as they have racked up yet another sale of this rifle due to your handywork..............

I have a Sako Quad and a Dlask Barrelled 10/22 to compare this to, but for $199.99 its already looking good.

Candocad.

I watched this video and a bunch on your channel. Really awesome videos. Its great to see someone doing videos that also understands and deals with the various Canadian firearms issues and regulations that we all have to abide by.

Great job! Looking forward to more.

Also... with all the videos you have made it shows that Canada Ammo has such good deals everyone should have a safe full of the firearms that they sell! :)

I do have a safe full of their firearms and another full of their rough use knives,( don't forget to add one to your order) and a shelf full of his 1911 and a lllaaarrrgee container of his surplus ammo! ETC.

I just ordered one as well,I have the JW15 in .22magnum it shoots very well. The only thing I didn't like was the stock,so I slimmed it down and refinished it.so,I'm looking forward to this new one.
Question, does it take regular weaver bases,or does it have a 3/8 grooved reciever?does anyone make a replacement stock for it?

It has a 3/8 grooved receiver. Restocking would be a custom option.

Have a look at the thread in the rimfire section for work done.

For the folks who have this rifle, what kind of condition did your come in? I recieved mine today and it has a bunch of scratches on the barrel and a few small dents in the wood.
If they all come this way I won't bother returning it to canada ammo.

I just got mine and it had a few very minor dings in the stock and a pretty good nick on the barrel about 3" from the muzzle. What really annoyed me though was when I lifted the action out of the stock a small piece of the stock broke off right by the safety. It's not the end of the world but even for $200 I expected a little better. All will be forgiven if it shoots as well as the others.

Based on Fathers thread in the rim fire section, it will knock the mk11 out of the park, especially a stock one!

I actually own 'Fathers' previous 'pimped out and tuned' Mll FS-VR and I also have the NS522 that I've started customizing. love them both, I use them for different things... I have only shot subsonics @ short distance out of the FVSR and fast stuff @ long distance out of the NS522. they both shoot better then I can.
(if I can find some) I should get some CCI SV and do a direct comparison @ 50 and 100 some time!

here you can tell I always drop flyers low or right. (other then pellet rifles I'm pretty new to shooting) just under 50yd with the FV-SR this is the target in the picture that's on my wood pile.

Heres lobbing some out to 300 with the NS522 (12-15" tall steel plates on the far right just under the '10' in about a 5-6' tall target stand

(I don't get out much unless its early spring or fall/winter and have to wait till the calm days)

Nice rifle and nice shooting, I am hoping to find a target peep sight that will fit my eggroll, so far there is a German one but by the time it is on plus a front sight and an iris it will come to about double what the rifle was! However I bet it will shoot amazingly! I didn't see the part of the 522 at 300, wow did you actually hit that far out?

^^^^^ are those groupings at 100m with the norinco?

I wish I could shoot that good!! NO, just under 50 with the FVSR dialed in with subsonics

thanks, I don't think I'm a very good shooter yet though. I'd love to get an 'iron-peep-site' on 1 of these.

yes you CAN hit a decent sized target(12-15" tall) @ 300 took a few shots but both me and my buddy that I was shooting with were able to, it was a dead still day. (aim about 15' high :sok2 ..on the other hand the .223 with hand loads were only about 7" high {also depends on your zero]) targets are tall and skinny so it kind of gives you a better chance.

Mine also had a few small dents on the stock but the metal was fine. I refinished the stock, so even those small dents are gone. The overall quality is decent but still far from CZ.
So far, I've shot about 100 rounds with it and the action is much smoother now.
I was at the range today and I had a five shot group of 0.467" (center to center) with American Eagle at 50 meters. I don't expect miracles but I think the accuracy still can be improved by more modifications.

Whats the diameter of the barrel at the muzzle? If i can find a barrel band style front sight or something similar that'll fit I'll get one.

Nice looking rifles! I just bought an NS 522 from Canada Ammo a week ago,but the stocks don't look like the one in the bottom pic.
My understanding is that only the U.S sold rifles were stocked in the nicer wood.Did you order a stock afterwards for yours?
